11 Mar Europe – Record Year With Tech Investments 2020

According to Sifted’s reports, a European online news media, 2020 was a record year for European Tech investments, reaching EUR 41 Bil.

On the whole the year demonstrated Europe’s ability to navigate challenges and confirmed overall positive trends that has been building up.

While other countries saw an increase in Tech investments, particularly for France, the country has already being seeing investments in startups increase by nearly 3 times between 2015 and 2019. With the uptick in investment in 2020, France exceeded EUR 5 Bil in VC investment on an annual basis for the first time. Paris is now Europe’s number two hub for Tech startup investment – or number 1 if you count London out of Europe after Brexit.

Experts believe Europe now has the opportunity to build on current momentum to solidify and foster further interest from investors for its startups.
